Italian Design Stained Glass
For Italian design stained glass, see the Pisa Series. The Pisa Series was adapted from the 12th century marble mosaic floor at the Baptistry in Pisa, Italy. Each of these three windows is a section of the mosaic. Each pattern partially overlaps the others to complete the larger mosaic.

The use of glass jewels, made to imitate precious stones, is typical of decorative windows and is one of the principal innovations of leaded glass artists.
