Portland Stained Glass Artist
Sue Firpo, Portland Stained Glass Artist, is a designer and carpenter by trade who makes leaded glass windows and cabinets and small furniture for fun. She has an architecture degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and studied in Copenhagen as well. She worked as an architect before moving to Portland, Ore., to learn carpentry, where she specializes in residential and small commercial projects. At SL Firpo Leaded Glass Studio, we make our stained glass windows on a commission basis. Prices begin at approximately $200/sq ft for the historic adaptations shown on this site. The intricacy of the pattern, the size of the window, and the glass itself are used to determine the final price. The windows are made with a lead or zinc came frame. They can be installed into a sash of your own or we can install them into a wood frame manufactured in our studio.
